Autumn Embers

This fibre collage was inspired by a happy find while I was walking along a gravel road one November. All was grey and dingy, except for this flash of fire on the road. This piece is created by layering pieces of fabric and yarn, then covering with fine netting, then machine stitching texture. That process was repeated multiple times. This piece measures 20.5" x 20.5" x 2.5 including the frame.
