Gloaming

This framed textile is based on a photograph I took, during the gloaming, hence the name. It is created using snippets of fabric and yarn laid out over a backing fabric, then a fine mesh tuille is laid over top. I then machine-stitch over top, in a pattern that enhances the texture I want to convey. That process is repeated as often as necessary. The piece is 22.5" square.
