Orange Kimono

This painting was inspired by a beautiful Japanese kimono that I acquired. I was so taken with the colours and patterns that I used it for the background of my still life. I used a curvey glass bowl to show all the colours abstracted in the glass.
The lemons and limes pick up the colours in the fabric. I am looking over top of the still life to capture all the beautiful images.
