Owl in the moonlight
This 8.5x22 inch water colour is mounted on cradleboard and sealed to protect from the environment. The cradle board is 1 and 5/8 inch deep painted to compliment the painting.
After drawing the owl the white feathers were masked out as well as the moon and stars. Then many coats of paint were poured to achieve the background sky. After removing the masking further details were added to the owl.
