I borrowed a friend’s car and took a solo trip to drive around both islands of New Zealand. I spent hours on the road taking breaks to walk around and appreciate the beauty around me. My entertainment was writing in my journal and learning how to play guitar. I visited a lake in the North Island and was struck by how clear it was. After spending over an hour taking hundreds of photos, this one ended up being my favourite because of the colours and contrast of the crisp and fuzzy shapes of life under water.
