Wanda was born in St. Clair, Michigan and immigrated to Canada in 1975 when she married her husband John. They have 2 daughters and son-in-laws Amy and Kevin and Carrie and John.

Wanda was a founding member of the Sarnia Quilters’ guild in 1979 and is an honorary member. She has served a President of the guild several times in the last 40 years. Wanda learned how so sew from her mother at a young age. She has been quilting for almost 50 years. Wanda makes quilts for family and friends. She has also made quilts that have been raffled.

Her special gift is her “Quillows” because people can just cuddle up with them on a cold night. She does do some commission work. The biggest commission was a King sized double wedding ring quilt for a nice lady that wanted to give a special gift to her niece on her wedding. Wanda has been retired for 4 years from Al’s Vacuum and Sewing Centre where she worked for 15 years specializing in selling sewing machines.
