Artists' Biographies

“I am particularly attracted to the rural scenery, the old barns, equipment and farm houses that are being abandoned with the change in farming from the 100 acre farms of my youth to the 1000 plus acre farms without fences or buildings or tree lines. To drive through some Mennonite or Amish countryside is a drive of memories. Age has limited my mobility, so I do a lot of roadside driving and viewing for a scene that attracts me to photograph and paint it. Painting has pleasantly replaced See More...

Jack was born in the small northern Ontario town of South Porcupine, and grew up in Sarnia, where he lives with his wife Toni. Together they have 3 sons, 3 daughters in law, and 3 grandchildren.

Lynne "Kenneith" Brogden is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of The Lawrence House Centre for the Arts, President of the Sarnia-Lambton Arts Council and holds a B.Sc. from University of Toronto. In high school, she won a scholarship to the Ontario College of Art. however, loving math and science, she majored in chemistry and nutrition, but took as many art courses as she could.
