Evelyn Buchner

"When asked what type of photography I do, I tell people that I don't limit myself to any one thing, but my absolute passion is nature and wildlife photography.

From butterflies, birds and blooms close to home or wildlife, wild flowers and breathtaking landscapes farther away, time spent outdoors with my camera in hand is both relaxing and rewarding.
Since retirement I have been enjoying water colour painting, inspired by nature and my photography.

I love sharing my passion with people and hearing how much they enjoy my art.
My goal is to create inspiring images that people will feel a connection to, perhaps learn something new as I always am, and gain a deeper appreciation for God's gift of nature and the beautiful world around us."

Evelyn Buchner is a retired florist and lives in Sarnia, Ontario with her husband.
She is a mother and grandmother of four.

Linda Evelyn

Linda Evelyn

Linda was born in North Bay, moved to Sarnia in 1979 and spent 30+ years in the Health Care profession. As a hobbyist, Linda tried several types of media including silk painting, paper tole, crewel work, etc. until finding her true passion in creating fashion jewelry. This led to a new part-time career in the jewelry retail business. In 2014, she decided to fully retire and part-time volunteering at the Lawrence House Centre exposed her to a wonderful supportive network of local artists and a new love of painting. Linda paints mainly in acrylic and combines elements from other media in which she has worked, to give a 3D effect to her works. Her paintings and jewelry are available in the Lawrence House Gift Shop.

Brenda Ross

Brenda is a Sarnia native and works in a nonobjective abstract style with acrylic and collage.  Growing up so near the water she finds the “water theme” continuously showing up in her work.  She is most excited by colour, shape, texture and line. Margaret Bauer

Margaret Bauer

Margaret was born in England and moved to Sarnia in 2006. Margaret is for the most part a self-taught artist.  She took courses in oil painting while residing in England. Margaret now prefers faster drying acrylics.  She enjoys the challenge of the more difficult medium of watercolour, but feels she has yet to master the freedom that watercolour provides.  She is a member of the Sarnia Artists’ Workshop and has participated in several workshops in Sarnia.  She continues to work on improving her skills.

As well as landscapes, Margaret paints animal portraits in acrylic on stone – a very relaxing and enjoyable outlet for her creativity.

Margaret’s work hangs in several private collections both in Europe and North America.
